Shamrock CC at Newcomerstown Invitational
Last Saturday, the Barnesville cross country teams competed at the Newcomerstown Invitational. Seventeen full teams and another eight partial teams attended the invitational. In addition to hot, humid weather, the course was muddy.
Coach Mark Brown stated that the team saw improvement from times recorded ten days ago and from last year on the same course.
The Shamrock HS girls team placed 6th. Sophomore Addy Reed was the girls’ top finisher with a time of 21:31. Despite some illnesses, the HS boys finished 8th. Senior Linkoln Jendrusik was the Shamrocks boys’ top finisher with a time of 18:27.
The junior high boys and girls teams placed 3rd and 4th, respectively.
