Foster Hope Ohio Valley Marks Six Years

Foster Hope Ohio Valley will mark its sixth anniversary on March 18. The group got its start packing bags in a living room with a few stuffed animals and one box of donations for children in the foster care system.

The first delivery was five backpacks while the first delivery to Guernsey County was 26 backpacks. And this month alone, Foster Hope delivered 70 backpacks to Guernsey County.

“This could not be possible without the phenomenal support we’ve received,”  shared Amanda Hession who along with Anna Sells started the organization.

Foster Hope currently delivers to nine counties in Ohio. According to the State of Ohio, there are 550 children in foster care in these counties alone.
