2026 Belmont County Youth Essay Contest
ST CLAIRSVILLE – The future leaders of any community are in school today. Any area that has any hope of sustaining itself must nurture the younger generation so that they’re ready to someday serve as the leaders, “movers and shakers” of tomorrow.
For a third consecutive year, the Community Improvement Corporation of Belmont County is sponsoring a Youth Essay Contest titled “Create Your Future.”
The program is open to students from the 6th grade through the senior year. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 30.
Sponsors of the 2026 contest are The Flower Gardens, East Central Ohio Education Service Center, Joe’s Tire, Woodsfield Savings Bank, EQT, PNC Bank and ICR Equipment Rental, Sales and Supply.
Prizes will be awarded to winning contestants in each grade level.
