Monday, September 7, 2026
1:28 am – officer on North Broadway Street responding to neighbors involved in a verbal altercation.
9:51 am – caller from the gas station on State Route 800 North reporting a female passed out in a vehicle. Dispatcher transferred the call to 911.
12:05 pm – officer on Carl Street attempting to serve a warrant. Officer reports the male no longer lives there and has moved to New York.
2:26 pm – anonymous caller reporting a car on East Main Street with a driver with no operator’s license.
5:06 pm – caller asking why he had a bench warrant against him. Dispatcher advised he has a traffic ticket violation, and that he failed to appear on the court date.
8:42 pm – traffic stop on State Route 800 North. Warning issued for marked lanes.
11:27 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Driver passed a field sobriety test. Warning issued for no headlights.
Tuesday, September 8, 2026
12:03 am – traffic stop on Watt Avenue.
9:31 am – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue.
2:38 pm – caller reporting an AT&T wire is hanging low on Warren Avenue.
2:39 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street near Convenient.
4:01 pm – caller reports there is a feral kitten on Sycamore Street that has been there for the past two weeks.
6:39 pm – call from Sycamore Street reported her fourteen-year-old daughter ran off after an argument. Officer spotted the girl on East Main Street. Advised, the mother went to East Main Street to collect the girl who went home with the mother.
7:21 pm – female on station reporting that her granddaughter is receiving threatening texts from another juvenile.
7:33 pm – female caller from South Gardner Street states her boyfriend has been in the bathroom for a few hours. Boyfriend is not responding and the door is locked. She is afraid of what she may find when the door is opened. Officer reported that everything is fine and the man’s mother has taken him to the hospital.
9:07 pm – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road.
11:11 pm – caller advising the male that the Belmont County Sheriff is seeking is not at the facility but at another location.
Wednesday, September 9, 2026
4:04 am – officer on Railroad Street with two males.
5:46 am – traffic stop near Tacoma.
6:19 am – officer on East Church Street investigating a report of a person hearing someone screaming. Officer can not locate the screaming.
8:58 am – caller from Bond Avenue wants an officer to check on a female on foot near Certified. Caller believes it might be a domestic situation. Officer checked the area and did not locate the woman.
11:52 am – traffic stop on Walton Avenue.
2:45 pm – person on station dropping off paperwork regarding a fraud/scam where someone is using his business information.
3:27 pm – vehicle lockout on Belview Street.
7:47 pm – juvenile female on station wanting to know if an officer would go to her home and talk to her five-year-old brother because he is behaving badly.
9:12 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street near the library annex.
9:27 pm – traffic stop on West Church Street. Gas powered moped.
Thursday, September 10, 2026
2:49 pm – traffic stop on Shamrock Drive.
3:45 pm – traffic stop on North Street with a golf cart.
5:56 pm – caller from Sycamore Street reporting their neighbor is knocking out windows in their residence. Also, that the person threw the mailbox into the street. Officer requested EMS squad for a mental health evaluation.
6:57 pm – follow up investigation on West Main Street. Officer reported the person sought no longer lives at that location.
8:29 pm – officer on Chestnut Street in Bethesda for a follow up investigation.
Friday, September 11, 2026
11:24 am – caller requesting an officer regarding a customer causing problems. Caller wants to file a complaint for trespassing.
12:30 pm – report of a private property accident on South Chestnut Street. No injuries reported.
3:17 pm – caller reports he is locked inside the Antique Mall. Everyone has left while he was in the basement. Owner is on the way.
4:19 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Consent for search granted. Officer reported paraphernalia was found.
4:26 pm – BOLO from The Ohio State Patrol regarding a vehicle on State Route 800 South heading toward Barnesville.
4:54 pm – cell phone seized with permission on South Chestnut Street.
6:06 pm – female on station to talk to an officer.
7:40 pm – caller reports there are three juveniles shooting at deer with a sling shot at the Mothers Club Shelter in Memorial Park. Officer talked to the juveniles and the mother took her children home.
8:14 pm – juveniles heard screaming at Memorial Park tennis court.
9:26 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
9:47 pm – traffic stop on West South Street.
10:14 pm – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road. Warning issued for left of the center line.
10:16 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Citation issued.
10:48 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
Saturday, September 12, 2026
12:10 am – traffic stop on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s.
12:40 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
11:20 am – Belmont County Sheriff’s department asked if an officer could go to the emergency room at Barnesville Hospital for a female needing calmed down over a spam call. Officer told the person she was not scammed. She is just receiving calls and is upset about them.
6:54 pm – caller from North Chestnut Street reporting someone is on his property tearing it up by driving on it.
7:43 pm – caller reports he is being chased and threatened by someone near the Convenient Food Mart on South Chestnut Street.
7:57 pm – officer following up on a prior call about property abatement issues. Person advises someone is coming to get the items and dispose of them.
8:27 pm – person on station reporting harassment.
9:21 pm – traffic stop on West Main Street. Warning issued for no headlights.
9:55 pm – officer on Neva Avenue regarding several cars blocking the roadway. Officer reports that he can hear yelling and screaming. The persons are having a party.
10:21 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.
11:03 pm – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob.

12:22 am – traffic stop on Morgantown Avenue. Warning issued for speed.
12:48 am – traffic stop on South Broadway Street.
2:11 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
2:39 am – traffic stop on East Pike Street.
2:45 am – alarm going off in the area of Mackey Drive.
4:37 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Citation issued for expired tag.
6:12 am – traffic stop on East Main Street near Save A Lot.
11:43 am – caller from Morgantown Avenue concerned about dogs being left behind by the owners.
9:17 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
11:17 pm – officer at the Memorial Park checking on a parked truck. Officer reports that the truck appears secure.
