OVAC 4A Boys Golf: Barnesville Finished Fifth
On September 15, the OVAC 4A Golf Championship was played on the Jones Course at Oglebay Park. Ten teams took to the tough course attempting to win the championship.
St. Clairsville secured the title with 302 strokes. St. Clairsville’s Marvik Malin came in with 69 strokes, clinching the overall title. Malin is a back-to-back champion.
Barnesville’s team came in fifth place with an overall score of 355 strokes. Coach Robinson said the entire team struggled on the difficult course. He hoped the golfers learned from the experience.
Individual scores were:
- Blaine Thompson — 80
- Dylan Gallagher — 87
- Blake Shugert — 91
- Rylan Donaldson — 97
- Ayden Kemp — 100
On Monday, the golfers will play in the Division II Sectional Tournament at Cadiz Country Club.
