Watt Center Booksale Wednesday – Sunday
A popular feature of the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival is the used book sale at the Watt Center for History and the Arts located at 515 Watt Avenue just beyond the historic Barnesville Depot.
Wednesday night is “Early Bird Special” night! With a $5 entry fee, customers get first chance at the over 3,000 books on display and available in the wood-paneled first floor offices of the former factory headquarters. Special hours Wednesday are 4-6 p.m.
Thursday through Saturday there is no entry fee with books reasonably priced by the book. Hours are 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday, all reaming selections will be sold by the bagful for $1 per bag. Cloth shopping bags will be provided.
Anyone looking for the ideal Christmas gift for someone with Barnesville area connections, consider purchasing a variety of books printed or reprinted by the Watt Center. Individually priced, they will be located in the entry office near the cashier’s desk.
