Barnesville Golfer Thompson Moves on to Districts

The Barnesville Shamrock Golf Team competed in the Division II Boys Golf Sectional on September 24 at the Cadiz Country Club. With 344 strokes, the Barnesville golfers finished in 6th place. The qualifying teams for Districts were St. Clairsville (308), West Muskingum (336), Steubenville (341) and Martins Ferry (343).
Freshman Blaine Thompson placed 4th with a score of 77 strokes. Thompson advances to the Districts, which will be played on Monday at Eaglesticks.
