Burn Ban in Effect

Area fire departments remind residents that a daily burn ban is now in effect until June.  No fires are allowed between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Last week when the temperatures were higher, departments battled several grass fires including one near Barnesville on Sunday, March 2. The Barnesville and Bethesda departments responded.

On Monday, Fairview Old Washington and Antrim departments responded to a brush fire in Oxford Township when approximately .75 of an acre was scorched.

The same day, Quaker City and Senecaville responded to a fire in Noble County.
