Kay Marie Mankin

Kay Marie Mankin, 66, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on September 24, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 27, 1960, in Barnesville, Ohio, to Charles William “Bill” Gibson and the late Judith Lee (Rowley) Gibson.

In addition to her mother, Judy, Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Michael “Gibby” Gibson.

Kay was a free spirit who enjoyed life in her own way and was a friend to many. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her unique personality, independent spirit, and the friendships she made throughout her life.

Kay is survived by her father, Charles William “Bill” Gibson; her sons, Ben (Kayla) Mankin and Dirk (Kendl) Mankin; her grandchildren, Brant, Hayden, Aryanna, Chloe, Knoxx, and Lowen; her brother, Mark (Brandi) Gibson; her sister, Krista (Bink) Littleton; and her sister-in-law, Lauri Gibson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including her special niece and best friend, Autumn (Clayton) Littleton.

Family and friends will be remembered as an important part of Kay’s life, and she will be missed by those who knew her.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 1-4pm at the Barnesville American Legion Post 168, 317 East South Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Kay’s care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
