Cambridge CC Invitational Results

On Saturday, 36 schools competed at the Charlie Fondale Memorial Cambridge Bobcats Invitational hosted at Cambridge High School. For Barnesville, this was their final invitational for the season. Coach Brown stated, “This invitational is a great way to get the runners experience on the Cambridge course for OVACs.”

The high school boys’ team came in ninth place out of 21 full teams with a score of 278. Individual times were: Linkoln Jendrusik (18:39.0), Jayden Barker (19:34.0), Ryder Gallagher (19:55.0), Ethan Marcum (21:19.0) and Mason Starr (21:41.0).

The high school girls’ team captured seventh place out of 19 teams. Individual times were: Addy Reed (22:54.0), Makayla Vitale (23:27.0), Bonita Passmore (24:40.0), Bradie Nixon (24:50.0) and Ansley Clouse (24:57.0).

Out of 11 teams, the junior high boys’ cross country finished fourth, missing third by only three points. Top finisher for Barnesville was Quinn Stephen with a time of 11:58, and Dawson Hanse finished six seconds behind Stephen.

The junior high girls finished seventh out of 9 teams. The Shamrock top finisher was Maya Stephen with a time of 14:24.

On October 10, the Varsity and junior high cross country teams will return to Cambridge for the OVAC Championships. The high school will run in the morning and the junior high in the afternoon.
