Monday, September 28, 2026

1:17 am – officer at the Barnesville Hospital for a special detail.

2:05 am – officer on East Church Street requesting an additional officer to assist tracking down a male who was last seen heading into a wooded area. Officer had negative contact with the male and decided to file charges.

2:31 am – suspicious person on Mulberry Street.

5:52 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street near the Family Dollar. Male driver has a work order showing driving privileges.

8:11 am – traffic stop on Shamrock Drive near the Middle School.

10:18 am – caller advises her wallet was either lost or stolen from her purse yesterday at the Pumpkin Festival. Dispatcher responded that the wallet was turned in yesterday to the station.

10:52 am – caller reporting a dead cat in the middle of the roadway on Pine Lane.

4:56 pm – caller from South Chestnut Street reporting that there has been a vehicle parked in front of the store for a while, with a man in it. The caller is concerned about what is going on.

9:34 pm – caller states a person is sitting outside of her home.

10:56 pm – male on station to talk to an officer about a person that he saw a month or so ago.

Tuesday, September 29, 2026

7:56 am – officer taking student to the JVS.

9:54 am – officer on South Broadway Street with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents.

11:46 am – officer on Scales Road, Smith Township with the FBI agents.

11:54 am – caller from South Gardner Street reporting a male who is passing through and wants work. Caller wants to make sure he has no warrants.

12:17 pm – two vehicle accident on Barnesville-Hendrysburg Road in Kirkwood Township.

12:50 pm – caller from West South Street regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the road. The truck has Texas license plate.

7:19 pm – vehicle lockout on Russells Crossing.

Wednesday, September 30, 2026

6:26 am – traffic stop on State Route 800. Warning given for a headlight.

9:02 am – person called asking about neighbor’s dog barking non-stop. Caller asked about the barking dog ordinance.

9:46 am – report of a dead deer in the middle of the roadway on Leatherwood Road.

3:13 pm – traffic stop on West Church Street.

4:03 pm – vehicle lockout on West Main Street.

5:39 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue with a male who suffers mental issues.

7:22 pm – traffic stop on West Main Street with a dirt bike. Officer issued a warning for speed and advised the driver of the rules for operating a dirt bike.

8:25 pm – caller states he and his sister are having a disagreement of the ownership of a car. Dispatcher advised him that this is a civil matter.

9:03 pm – traffic stop on Shamrock Drive. Warning issued for left of the center line.

10:00 pm – traffic stop on State Route 800 North near the Longhorn Store.

10:42 pm – traffic stop on West Main Street. Warning issued for traffic device.

11:03 pm – traffic stop on West South Street. Warning issued for expired tag.

Thursday, October 1, 2026

9:58 am – male on station to speak to an officer.

1:00 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue for a welfare check. Officer advised the person went with the EMS squad last night.

2:23 pm – property accident on North Chestnut Street.

4:19 pm – caller requesting to speak to an officer in regards to possible child abuse.

4:27 pm – caller from Bond Avenue reporting a truck that lost a load of scrap in the roadway. Officer contacted the driver and the driver is going back to clean up the roadway.

5:23 pm – caller from Bond Avenue reporting that the sandstone marker that says Hillcrest on it, is in the roadway. Officer reported the stone is out of the roadway.

5:47 pm – caller from West Main Street requesting to speak with an officer regarding text harassment.

6:45 pm – caller states her daughter is afraid to walk to her car now. Caller asking if an officer can walk her to her car..

6:56 pm – caller from South Broadway Street stating someone is walking around a house that has a broken window.

7:28 pm – follow up investigation on Cherry Street.

8:26 pm – caller from the Barnesville Hospital regarding a vehicle with a dead battery.

9:55 pm – traffic stop on East Church Street.

11:42 pm – traffic stop on State Route 147. One person detained. Methamphetamines seized.

Friday, October 2, 2026

12:01 am – officer on West Church Street regarding illegal parking. Officer confronted the neighbor regarding the parking issue.

8:22 am – male on station file a complaint regarding an incident that happened yesterday. He stated that his daughter is being harassed by a man that went into her work place. Male states that he doesn’t think the police did enough.

8:22 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

12:08 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

3:02 pm – traffic stop on Roosevelt Road.

10:22 pm – caller reported an issue with a Dominos pizza delivery person and a reorder of pizza. The driver possibly had the wrong address.

11:18 pm – call from the Barnesville Livestock requesting extra patrols.

Saturday, October 3, 2026

8:49 am – alarm drop on South Chestnut Street. Alarm company reports everything is well.

9:07 am – officer on Hunts Avenue assisting the EMS squad.

2:03 pm – officer on Warren Avenue regarding  neighbor dispute.

2:16 pm – female on station asking about the ordinance on smoking marijuana on a public sidewalk in front of residential and businesses.

5:11 pm – person called regarding his children’s living conditions.

8:28 pm – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue.

10:26 pm – traffic stop on North Gardner Street.

Sunday, October 4, 2026

1:42 pm – male caller reporting that people who have been living on Henderson Street have moved away. They left nine chickens and one rooster behind three days ago.

11:26 pm – caller from South Lincoln Avenue requesting a welfare check on a neighbor whom they have not seen for a couple of days. A dog in the residence barks constantly. Caller states that the neighbor has been in and out of the hospital and might now be in a hospital in Columbus.
