Trigg Wraps Up Four Years with WVU Dance Team

Barnesville resident Alana Trigg wraps up a four-year career as a member of the West Virginia University Dance Team this week at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Nationals at Daytona, FL April 9-13. 

A four-year member of the WVU team that won five national placements in contests, Trigg and her fellow cheer team members also represent the school along the sidelines of WVU football, basketball and other sports contests.  

Trigg, who also serves on the board of the team’s executive board, has also volunteered for various community events including recently appearing in a video promoting the hometown WVU Medicine/Barnesville Hospital imaging service team.   

The Health and Well-Being major plans to attend pharmacy school after graduation.

Prior to her four years at WVU, Trigg, a 2021 Barnesville grad, was selected as 2020 Homecoming Queen and also won the 2021 OVAC Queen of Queens Contest representing BHS at Wheeling Island Stadium. She also won the 2021 Miss Columbus Teen competition. During her high school years, she was also a cheerleader and member of the track team.
