Belmont County Tanker Task Force Training

Members of the Bemont County Tanker Task Force trained at the stoon-to-open Love’s Travel Plaza Sunday, March 30. The training was hosted by the Morristown VFD. 

Little did participants know their training would pay off in less than 24 hours when several departments used knowledge gained from the exercise to fight a major residential house fire in Holloway.

The Belmont County Fire and Squad Officers Association and Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association as well as the following departments took part in the exercise: Martins Ferry Liberty Engine Company, Martins Ferry Volunteer Fire Department, Somerton Fire-Dept, Bethesda Fire Department, Cumberland Trail Fire District #4, Morristown VFD, Harrisville Fire Company, Sunset Heights Vol. Fire Department, Lafferty Fire Department, Smith Township Volunteer Fire Company, Mozart Vol Fire Dept, Spirit of 76VFD, Belmont Fire Department, Barnesville Fire and EMS, Washington Twp VFD and EMS – Tippecanoe Ohio, OR and W Fire District, Brookside Fire Department, BVFD Bellaire fire dept., Wolfhurst Fire Department – Station 41, Powhatan Fire Dept
