Barnesville Senior Football Players All-Star Action
Head Football Coach Blake Allen provided the following update this week on post-season appearances for 2025 Senior Players:
Braden Butler and Evan Lough have been added to the OVAC All-Star football game. They will be joining Salvador Almaraz and Luke Taylor representing the Ohio squad on July 19th at Wheeling Island Stadium.
The following players have been selected to play in the B.A.C.F All-Star game: Casey Carpenter, Bradey McIntire, Blake Kirk, Braden Butler, and Evan Lough. This game will take place on June 6th at Bill Hanlin Stadium in St. Mary’s WV.
Marshall Meade will be competing in the annual North-South Classic next Saturday, April 26th at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. Kickoff will be at 4:00.
“Altogether, an astounding eight different players will be competing in these upcoming All-Star games. I cannot express how proud I am of each and every one of them and can’t wait to watch them suit up as a Shamrock one last time,” said Allen.
Ava Sobutka was selected recently as one of 13 cheerleaders who will support the Ohio football players at the Rudy Mumley All-Star game in July.
All-Valley Honorees
The annual All-Valley Honorees list of the Ohio Valley’s three daily newspapers was released this week.
Barnesville honorees include:
Swimming: Liv McCrate, Freshman (she is the only Frosh on the girls squad of six)
Girls Basketball: Madelyn Tyson, Senior, Honorable Mention
Boys Basketball: Casey Carpenter, Senior, Honorable Mention
Wrestling: Ayden King, Senior, First Team; Hines Ford, Junior, Second Team; Colt Carpenter, Sophomore, Second Team; Easton Stephen, Sophomore, Honorable Mention
