Monday, April 7, 2025
11:49 am – investigate complaint. Female at station wanting to talk with an officer about neighbor issues.
12:03 pm – male at station says he called Animal Shelter about a dog that was left at his house by someone else. Dog does not belong to his family. Animal Shelter said they are not taking dogs right now due to being full.
12:21 pm – caller states that they want to file a police report in reference to stolen items.
1:10 pm – investigate complaint. Female at station wants to speak with an officer about dog that was left at her house. She states that she called Animal Shelter and was told the shelter is full.
2:22 pm – anonymous caller reporting about a car being driving around town.
2:57 pm – anonymous caller reports a car parked on South Chestnut Street.
3:39 pm – caller asking whose jurisdiction covers Mt. Olivet and Penny Lane area. Advised to call the Sheriff’s Department.
6:02 pm – woman at station indicates they talked to a loan company by phone that that she has done business with before. Later, it was determined to be a phishing scam. She said man is calling several times a day and making threats if she doesn’t send money. She notified her bank to close her account and was advised to make a police report.
6:21 pm – caller advised a girl is hiding in the fire pit behind the fire department building. She appears to have a water squirt gun. The girl jumped down and took off.
8:25 pm – investigate complaint, East Main Street. Caller is experiencing mental health issues and wants to talk to someone.

4:26 am – investigate complaint from Pine Lane. Caller thought she heard someone shut her garage door.
9:34 am – investigate complaint on South Chestnut Street. Checking semi-truck.
10:17 am – vehicle parked on corner of Brill and Dorsey is parked too close to intersection. Officer contact with the owner and advised them to move it.
10:55 am – caller seeking information about fingerprinting.
1:06 pm – fight on West Church Street. A couple of kids at the elementary school playground appear to be fighting. Spoke with a couple of supervisors on the playground who said the kids were wrestling. Will have the principal check the camera to see what was going on.
1:53 pm – caller inquiring about mayor’s court ticket.
2:07 pm – investigate parking complaint on North Broadway Street. Caller states that vehicle has been parked there for over a month. Caller wants to remain anonymous. An officer spoke with the owner and advised them of the complaint. The owner will move it but it is currently having a mechanical issue.
2:34 pm – accident with property damage on East Main Street. State Patrol called for help with crash near Dollar General store. Squad enroute.
2:47 pm – 911 advised “toning” squad to Barrel House for a female with nosebleed that fell.
2:59 pm – investigate complaint on North Street. A person called requesting a welfare check for her client.
3:10 pm – male caller states he struck a deer near Sycamore Street while driving into town.
4:01 pm – Morgantown Avenue caller reference to two solicitors in the area. Officer advised solicitors left the area.
5:15 pm – East South Street. Officer checking on a solicitor who advised there is no soliciting in the village.
5:16 pm – East South Street, traffic stop. No visible tag, warning gave for improper display.
6:33 pm – caller advised there is a black and white dog out in front of the station. Caller attempted to catch it, but it ran towards the fire department.
6:39 pm – Pine Lane. Reference about dog and negative contact. Advised to contact Animal Shelter. Animal Shelter advised they would be out shortly to pick up dog. There is a Facebook post of the dog belonging to a person. Called person to advise them their dog is at the shelter.
6:51 pm – caller advised of having a small fire, okayed by fire chief.
7:16 pm – investigate complaint on North Broadway Street. Caller requested welfare check after he experienced a seizure and fell down the steps. Unknown when or if this happened. The officer made entry and requested EMS who transported person.
Wednesday, April 9, 2025
2:03 am – repossessed vehicle secured on East South Street.
8:36 am – caller advised her car was struck yesterday at the Elementary School pick up area. The car was parked on West Church Street and did not do any damage.
8:37 am – 911 advised to BOLO (be on the lookout) for a vehicle possibly coming into town on North 800 driving at a high rate of speed.
11:59 am – caller says there is a vehicle coming up North 800 driving all over the roadway. Caller also said the driver does not have a license.
12:02 pm – person on North 800 reporting a different vehicle that almost hit him, then almost hit him from behind and almost flipped his truck trying to get stopped.
1:48 pm – medical emergency, nurse advised they have a male from jail and that is paranoid needing to go to the hospital. Advised EMS.
1:54 pm – assault on North 800. State Patrol called advised that one male is handcuffed to the ground and being struck. Squad enroute.
3:03 pm – caller advised that he would have a new realtor at the address today. Did not want us to think someone was breaking in.
3:03 pm – caller advised he is a realtor and will be taking pictures to list the property for sale.
3:13 pm – man at station wanting to see if the EZ Pass text message is a scam. Advised it is a scam.
3:34 pm – person at station to fill out a report in reference to somone stealing belongings.
5:09 pm – alarm drop on East Main Street. Register motion alarm and spoke to an employee who didn’t provide the correct code. Alarm company called back to cancel code provided. Clear.
8:06 pm – domestic trouble on Wiley Avenue. Domestic is inside garage and left on foot. Officer cleared from call.
8:19 pm – caller at station in refence to his son losing iphone.
Thursday, April 10, 2025
8:07 am – investigate complaint on West Main Street. Received two hang up calls from Barnesville Hospital ER. Called ER and was advised they need an officer due to a combative patient.
9:01 am – investigate complaint on West Main Street. Previous post patient left hospital traveling east on West Main.
11:11 am – investigate complaint on West Main Street. Advised patient is still causing issues at the ER and states he wants taken to jail. Transporting male to jail and getting statement from staff.
11:53 am – medical emergency on West South Street. Call in from 911, EMS dispatched.
4:56 pm – female at station turning in a syringe that was found. Syringe placed in drop off box.
6:09 pm – caller asking for us to check if a person has a warrant. I advised her I can’t look this up for her. Advised her to contact the courts.
6:29 pm – alarm drop, Hospital Drive. General burglar alarm, alarm company called back and advised all is okay. Spoke to person on location and gave correct passcode.
11:51 pm – alarm drop on West Church Street. Burglar alarm called key holder and the person is responding. Company called in and advised that they were doing work and did not know the janitor set the alarm when they left and triggered the alarm. They will stand by.

7:53 am – investigate complaint on 800 South. State Patrol for a BOLO (be on the lookout) of a possibly vehicle traveling back towards town. He turned off of Route 148 and turned back onto Route 800. Caller advised subject was driving reckless, but is no longer behind caller’s vehicle. Officer dispatched to junction 800/148 with negative contact.
8:29 am – investigate complaint. Person at station stating a guitar was stolen out of his truck last night while parked on East Main Street. Camera footage was viewed and no one was seen entering the vehicle the entire time it was parked there. Person called back to say he located his guitar and thanked us for our help.
11:10 am – out with squad on North Chestnut Street for medical emergency alert. Negative contact .EMS made contact into house. 911 advised to cancel because there was contact with the person. False alarm.
12:09 pm – case worker in reference to incident on Route 800.
4:05 pm – investigate complaint of person at station wanting to speak with an officer in reference to someone dumping fuel on property.
4:13 pm – caller advised they see a baby goat up there running loose.
4:16 pm – female at station who found wallet at the thrift store. Wallet in lost and found. The owner was notified, and it was picked up by the owner.
9:09 pm – had an anonymous call about a two-year old child in a car seat. Caller said the car is now parked there.
9:13 pm – investigate complaint. Following up on anonymous call in reference to children not in car seat. Clear. Car is parked and no one is around the car.
9:17 pm – vehicle lockout reported on Wiley Avenue.

7:27 am – male came to station to get a paper signed by an officer.
8:29 am – officer assisting someone get a cow back in the fence near the hospital.
1030 am – female calling to check if anyone had made contact with the owner of the car parked on Walton Avenue that has not been moved. Requested to have an officer call her back.
12:11 pm – Walton Avenue, reference to parking complaint from earlier. Negative contact with owner and left a note to call back.
1:40 pm – accident with property damage, East Main Street.
2:49 pm – Watt Avenue. Caller reports a male and female are fighting near Buckeye Steel facility. Negative contact. Made contact with caller who says she did not see a fight, but just heard an argument.
4:35 pm – wandering got on the loose in the area of Leatherwood Road.
7:06 pm – vehicle lockout on North Broadway Street.
11:36 pm – traffic stop near the parking lot by of former KFC. Warning given for improper display.
Sunday, April 13, 2025
5:24 am – alarm drop on Mill Street. Rear side office motion. All doors are secured. Clear.
6:24 am – traffic stop, East Main Street. Citation given for speed.
7:54 am – speaking with a male in the McDonald’s parking lot on follow up.
11:17 am – out on High Street in reference to call. Speaking to a male that owns a vehicle.
4:40 pm – caller wants to burn brush. Was advised burn restrictions and referred her to the fire department.
4:42 pm – call about a goat in the roadway at South Chestnut Street. Standoff. Goat will not leave the roadway. Holding up traffic. Street camera shows goat in the middle of the roadway on South Chestnut Street near Leatherwood Road. Goat did get out of the roadway and is walking along the side of the road. Goat has reentered the road on Leatherwood Road walking toward South Broadway Street. Called Barnesville Livestock barn. They are enroute to take a look.
7:37 pm – Female at station turning in a found phone. Phone placed in lost and found. The owner came and secured phone.
