Departments Battle Noble County Brush Fire

Several area fire departments answered mutual aid calls to battle a brush fire last Saturday, November 9 in Seneca Lake area of Wayne Township, Noble County, that reportedly burnt between 10 and 15 acres.

Departments that responded included Senecaville, Quaker City, Lore City, Belle Valley, Caldwell, and Pleasant City.  The Ohio Department of Natural Resources also provided a bulldozer while United Ambulance Service and Noble County Sheriff’s Office personnel were also on hand, according to reports posted by the Fairview Fire Department.  

Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon, Barnesville and Fairview departments responded to multiple accidents on I-70 Westbound two miles east of the Barnesville/Route 800 interchange. Although the roadway was not closed, traffic was down to one lane for several hours.
