Billy G. Perkins

Billy G. Perkins, 88, of Navarre, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.

Born on November 29, 1936, in Barnesville, Ohio, Bill was the son of the late Edwin and Hazel (Moore) Perkins. After graduating, he began a long and dedicated career at The Timken Company, working in the maintenance department for over 40 years until his retirement. In addition to his time at Timken, Bill was the proud owner and operator of Perkins Lawncare, where he took great pride in serving his beloved customers.

A man of deep faith, Bill was most recently attending Stanwood Community Church in Navarre. Over the years, he served the Lord by giving his time and talents to anyone in need.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pauline Richey.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Nancy L. (Carpenter) Perkins; his daughters, Penny (Dean) Bednarz and Wendy (Kraig) Brechbuhler; his cherished grandchildren, Aaron (Marissa) Bednarz and Tyler (Brooke) Bednarz, Madison Brechbuhler (Mason Schut); great-grandchildren, Canaan, Landry, and Aspen Bednarz; and his sister, Connie Brill. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will follow, officiated by Cyndee Guerin. The burial will take place immediately afterward at Melscheimer Cemetery.

In honor of Bill’s faith and lifelong commitment to helping others, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Independent Baptist Mission for Asians, Attn: Roland Dela Cruz Church Planting, 103 Masonic Park Road, PO Box 912, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
