The Ohio Department of Transportation’s paving and drainage projects planned for western Belmont County were updated and posted on May 16.
State Route 147 resurfacing in Barnesville: A project to resurface a section of State Route 147 in Barnesville from East Main Street to Hilles Avenue. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. This work is part of several resurfacing projects in Belmont County, and the overall completion date for all routes is September 30, 2025.
Barkcamp State Park Resurfacing: A project to resurface several sections of roads in Barkcamp State Park. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The overall completion date of the project is September 30, 2025.
I-70 eastbound drainage repair near EXIT 204: Work is underway to repair a drainage structure along I-70 eastbound, just east of EXIT 204. All lanes are open during construction. However, lane closures may be necessary at times to move equipment in and out of the work area. The completion date is May 31, 2025.
