Flota Virginia King

Flota, 77 of Lambertville, MI passed away unexpectedly on May 31st 2025. Flota was born in Bellaire Ohio and graduated from Skyvue High School in 1966. While in high school she was a cheerleader. She resided in Woodsfield Ohio for many years before moving to Grove City Ohio. The past 5 years she resided in Lakeland Fl at the Florida Holiness Campground. Lastly, she moved to Lambertville MI to be close to family.

Flota retired in 2007 after 30 years of working in construction, and enjoyed being outside. Her top 3 loves were Jesus, family and traveling. She enjoyed meeting new friends everywhere she went, and she made a positive impact on everyone she met. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s major life events, no matter how far away she resided. She truly enjoyed being close to family the last 6 months.

Flota was preceded in death by her parents William Marshall Prickett and Flota Blanche Prickett, brothers Billy Prickett, Bobby Prickett, and Tom Prickett, sister Shirley Stimpert, daughter Melissa Ann King and great-granddaughter Lyla Rose Kelly. She is survived by her son Mike King (Amber Davis), daughter Connie (Ken) Grajczyk, grandchildren Jake Curtis (Kait Scurlock), Katie Curtis (Hunter Kelly), Tyler Grajczyk, and Jason Grajczyk. Siblings; Burl Prickett, Sandra (Dick) Pryor, Betty Stimpert, Donna (George) Warner, Wanda Shumaker, Marshall Prickett, and Brenda Thompson, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio on Saturday June 7th from 4pm-7pm and Sunday June 8th from 12pm-1pm, with a service at 1pm with Brother-in-law George Warner officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery immediately following the Sunday service.
