County Coroner/Chiropractor Accepting Flood Relief Donations

Dr. Amanda Fisher, Belmont County Coroner and owner of Fisher Family and Sport Chiropractic at 712 West Main Street, Barnesville, is accepting flood relief donations for those who were impacted by the flash flooding in Ohio County, West Virgina Saturday night.

“This past weekend’s devastating flash flooding in Ohio County has left heartbreak and loss in its wake. Many families have lost loved ones, others are still missing, and countless homes have been destroyed,” Dr. Fisher shared in a social media post.   

Dr. Fisher’s niece, who is currently interning with the Investigations Unit at the Wheeling Police Department, reached out to see if the Coroner’s Office could serve as a drop-off site for much-needed supplies.

The following are needed:

  • Bleach
  • Spray Bottles
  • Mops & Buckets
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Paper/Plastic Products
  • Pet Food
  • Baby Wipes & Diapers
  • Baby Food
  • Formula
  • Non-Perishable Food Items

Fisher noted the items will be delivered directly to families who have lost their homes and, in some cases, their loved ones.  

The drop off location is Belmont County Coroner’s Office at 712 W Main St, Barnesville,  during regular business hours. They are:

Monday: 8am – 4pm

Tuesday: 8am – 4pm

Wednesday: 12pm – 7pm

Thursday: 8am – 11am

Friday: 8am – 12pm

Flushing & St. Clairsville area donors are asked to message/call Belmont County Coroner Investigator Lori Mann at 740-310-1964.

In addition to the local collection, Fairview, Antrim and Flushing volunteer fire departments are also collecting items for flooding victims.
