Monday, June 30, 2025
7:33 am – vehicle lockout on Carrie Avenue.
7:36 am – alarm drop at Hospital Drive. It was accidental and scene clear.
7:53 am – hit skip on East Church Street. Semi took out the stop sign at North Arch Street. Semi heading to the depot.
7:55 am – caller from East Main Street states they were walking past a house and heard yelling coming from inside. People got into an argument over the phone and everything is okay.
10:58 am – caller states they are getting a lot of traffic through the area traveling at a high rate of speed. Caller wants extra patrols.
11:19 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street. Warning given for improper display.
11:46 am – follow up investigation on Locust Drive.
2:04 pm – it appears a mailbox was struck. Officers are going to contact property owner to see if they are aware. They said it happened last Wednesday, and it will be taken care of.
3:34 pm – vehicle trying to pull into the Vet office lot has a trailer blocking the lane. Cars are going around it. The driver was eventually able to pull completely into the lot.
6:34 pm – caller in reference to a scam.
8:10 pm – caller from South Broadway Street reporting a drunk guy knocking on her door. Male is no longer at the address.
9:03 pm – traffic stop on South Gardner Street. Possible OVI and field sobriety testing underway. Tow requested.
11:07 pm – unit assisting another unit on East Main Street for lift assistance.
Tuesday, July 1, 2025
12:00 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
8:11 am – AEP advised they are closing down portion of Henderson Street for a couple of hours to replace a pole.
8:28 am – caller from North Chestnut Street states that a female was in a vehicle and a male approached the vehicle and was beating on the window. Officer spoke to the two. Everything is okay. They were trying to fix a window they had taped up.
11:21 am – chasing a dog on North Chestnut Street. Unable to catch the dog.
11:31 am – dog on North Chestnut Street is back home. Clear.
1:47 pm – officer flagged down on West Church Street.
3:37 pm – truck on North Arch Street is broken down. It is mostly out of the traffic lane.
4:44 pm – animal shelter received a call of a large black dog and a small brown dog in the area of 800 and Pike Street. They asked if we could check and pick up if located. Advised we have one possible dog near Ohio Street.
5:04 pm – caller state a male is standing in the middle of the road at corporation limit on West Main. Negative contact achieved.
5:10 pm – black dog previously seen on Ohio Street avoids capture. Animal shelter provided update.
6:26 pm – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue.
9:34 pm – black dog that has been running around town was captured but can’t keep until the morning. Animal shelter notified they will be getting the dog.
Wednesday, July 2, 2025
12:26 pm – traffic stop on Ohio Street. Written warning given for expired plates.
12:43 pm – caller from South Lincoln Avenue reports two patients left their facility. Clear at 12:53 pm.
1:42 pm – street department caller reports a person flagged them down today who has no power. He wanted someone to check on him through the day due to no power. According to AEP, it looks like power is restored in that area.
2:21 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Citation for expired plate and warning given for speed.
2:33 pm – officer out on North Broadway Street for follow up.
3:13 pm – assisting squad and Sheriff’s department with an overdose on Chestnut Ridge Road.
5:09 pm – animal call on Pine Lane.
6:24 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning given for speed.
7:00 pm – follow up on Locust Drive for a hit skip.
8:18 pm – caller from Morris Lane outside the corporation in reference to an injured fawn. Mother is close by and fawn doesn’t appear to be needing put down but does have a leg injury. Advised the Sheriff’s department is enroute.
8:41 pm – caller for Bethesda Street wants to talk to an officer about items that were stolen from her residence today.
9:19 pm – caller from Fairmont Avenue advises two high school boys are walking on his property to the woods. Doesn’t know if they are doing anything suspicious.

8:00 am – investigate complaint on station.
8:21 am – flagger advised Henderson Street to Mill Street will be closed for approximately two hours.
8:27 am – three back-to-back calls with questions about fingerprinting.
8:28 am – caller in reference to getting his truck off a property on East South Street. Officer will return the call.
1:13 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.
1:58 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
3:44 pm – bird stuck in a storm drain on East Main Street. Negative contact but will go back after dark.
4:33 pm – traffic stop on Euclid Avenue. Warning was given for speed.
4:57 pm – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue. Warning given for improper display.
6:00 pm – caller reports a motorcycle driving reckless around town.
6:11 pm – male caller needs to speak with an officer about sending money to a guy and not receiving the product. Since he lives outside of the corporation limit, caller directed to contact the Sheriff’s department.
6:40 pm – female at station asking questions about property on Route 800. Advised those records are at courthouse.
6:54 pm – call about fireworks rules. Rules shared.
7:45 pm – traffic stop on East Church Street. Warning given for speed.
8:04 pm – traffic stop on Watt Avenue. Warning given for speed.
8:44 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Citation given for speed.
10:17 pm – investigate complaint on North Street.
11:01 pm – traffic stop on Route 147 east.
11:58 pm – officer at the park reports warns people playing pickleball that it’s past park hours.
Friday, July 4, 2025
9:18 am – officer out at Convenient for an active warrant from Sheriff’s department. Female detained and enroute to jail.
9:23 am – AEP flagger closing Mill Street and S. Lincoln Avenue temporarily.
9:49 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
3:16 pm – officer out on East Main Street regarding a semi-truck in center lane with four ways on.
5:04 pm – Barnesville Hospital ER staff called requesting officer. Patient is being aggressive with the staff.
5:33 pm – traffic stop on West Church Street. Warning given for traffic control device.
7:34 pm – the town of Brookside asking for K-9 assistance from Barnesville department. Office enroute to Brookside.
10:35 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue complaining about fireworks in the area.
10:37 pm – caller complaining about fireworks.
Saturday, July 5, 2025
1:19 am – traffic stop on Douglass Road.
3:34 am – caller from Leggett Avenue can hear a female screaming in the graveyard, “please help me”. Officer can hear someone screaming at the far end of the property. Female states it was a verbal fight.
2:11 pm – officer at Bohandy building, corner of Main and Chestnut, regarding a large snake at the lower level, sidewalk area, west side of the building. Snake is deceased and was disposed of.
2:30 pm – investigate complaint at the station.
5:11 pm – caller asks what time the fireworks are tonight. Advised at dusk.
6:08 pm – caller asks where the fireworks are being set off. Advised the airport and told them that the park is the best place to view the display.
8:56 pm – caller states she lost her miniature pinscher dog around North Lincoln Avenue. Dog is blind in one eye and has tags. I advised her if we hear anything we will call her.
10:23 pm – Ohio State Patrol states someone is enroute to the hospital on Route 800 and with 4-way light on. Person is having an allergic reaction. Officer advised to be on the lookout for the vehicle.
11:34 pm – caller says she lost debit card at Memorial Park and was wondering if anyone turned it in. No card in police custody.
Sunday, July 6, 2025
1:08 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
9:47 am – officer reported for log that he removed a large piece of wood from Slabtown Road.
1:32 pm – caller from Railroad Street states a male is slumped over in the passenger seat. Male is fine just taking a nap.
4:46 pm – vehicle lock out on West South Street.
5:14 pm – alarm drop at Locust Drive residence. Everything is good.
11:34 pm – caller said she called the Sheriff’s department, and they advised her to call the Barnesville Police. She states that she is in Bethesda and got a threating phone call and text from someone.
11:38 pm – investigate complaint on Morgantown Avenue with a female.
