Balloon Toss Helps Librarians Cope with AC Issues
Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library is operating on a reduced schedule this week. In Wednesday’s social media post, director Brandi Little noted “due to unforeseen mechanical issues with the air conditioner, the Barnesville Library will be open under the following limited hours for the rest of the week”.
Wednesday – Closing at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday – 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It’s ironic that on Tuesday, youngsters enrolled in the summer reading program took turns in the annual rite of “Water Balloon the Librarians”. They took aim at library staff in the employees’ parking lot on a hot, steamy day.
The library is expected to return to regular hours the week of July 21-26.
