Local businessman Trent Brownfield, along with his wife, Brooke, who specialize in staging special events throughout the area, announced this past week, they have closed on a permanent event center location in the village of Barnesville.
At Monday’s Village Council meeting, Kathleen Lucas, secretary of the Senior Citizen’s Center, showed up at the council meeting to discuss the double paying of insurance on the senior center building by the senior center and the Village Council.

James Benner, Sr., transportation planner/GIS coordinator for the Bel-O-Mar Regional Planning Council, was present at the November board meeting to describe the Safe Routes to School Travel program and to answer any questions.
WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital was able to purchase 12 new glass whiteboards for inpatient rooms thanks to the generosity of a former employee’s family.
David Carroll was a longtime Barnesville Hospital employee, who served as a technical support analyst in the IT department for more than 21 years.

Two Barnesville congregations prepare for another mission to assist hurricane victims in western North Carolina
The Barnesville High School Key Club and the BHS student body recently decorated a yule tree in the lobby at the school. They extend thanks to the Davis Family, owners of the local Christmas tree farm, for their donation of the tree again this year.
