A downtown Cambridge revitalization project designed to foster small business growth and economic development is one step closer to reality. 4Friends LLC, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), the Cambridge-Guernsey County CIC, and the City of Cambridge, today announced an investment of over $1.4 million to redevelop a building in downtown Cambridge to create a mixed-use marketplace and co-working space.

At the December 30 Barnesville Village Council Meeting, in a five to one vote (Steven Hill opposed) the council passed an ordinance to accept Grenadier Energy’s bid on an oil and gas lease on a 10.376-acre lot in Warren Township owned by the village. Grenadier’s bid was $6,750 per acre “bonus payment” plus a 20 percent royalty.
