Senator Chavez Takes Oath for Full Term

COLUMBUS—State Senator Brian Chavez (R-Marietta) was sworn into the Ohio Senate Monday, January 6 for his first full term.
“I am honored to continue serving the people of Southeast and Eastern Ohio,” said Chavez. “There is a lot of work to be done and I look forward to working with members of the Ohio General Assembly to keep Ohio a great state to live, work, and raise a family.
Chavez represents the 30th Senate District, which covers Washington, Athens, Belmont, Meigs, Morgan, Monroe, Noble, Harrison, and Jefferson counties, as well as a portion of Guernsey County.
This past summer Chavez successfully secured funding for a new fire station in Belmont and providing funds to repair the clay tile roof of the historic Barnesville Depot.
