Downtown Barnesville will be hopping next week as growers make the trip with their giant pumpkin entries for the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival to compete in the 2026 “King Pumpkin” weigh-in.
The 2012 winning entry of 1,500.5 pounds was grown by Jay Johnson at Kimbolton, Guernsey County.
The heaviest King Pumpkin so far tipped the scales just below 2,300 pounds. How much will the 2026 winner weigh?
