Flushing Masons Install Officers
Officers recently installed at Flushing Masonic Lodge No. 298 are Mitch Slotwinski, installing marshal; John T. Morgan, lodge education officer; James Caudill, junior steward; Michael Horstman, tyler; Brian Murphy, junior deacon; Donald Jones, senior deacon and Brian Breyer, installing officer. Rear, William McGowan, treasurer; Rodney Kovacs, chaplain; Dustin Bower, junior warden; Rich Kidd, senior warden; Gary Edwards, worshipful master and Frank D. Ballog, secretary.
Senior Citizens February Newsletter Posted
Senior Citizen Newsletter Online. The monthly distributed by the Belmont County Committee on Aging is now available online free of charge to subscribers. The February edition is now available online. Print copies may be picked up at individual centers in the coming month.
There are four Senior Citizen Centers in western Belmont County:
Barnesville – 229 E. Main Street, Kay Driscoll, coordinator, and J.B. Flood, driver
Bethesda – 118 S. Main Street, Sue Hines, coordinator, and J.B. Flood, driver
Centerville – 44642 Main Street (Jacobsburg mailing address), Donna Steadman, coordinator, and Bonnie Borovich, driver
Flushing – 208 High Street, Maxine Jurovcik, coordinator; Lee Nichol, driver

The Officers and Trustees of the Barnesville Community Foundation met Monday, January 20. At the meeting, the winning ticket was drawn for the recent organization raffle. Winning the $300 cash prize was Polly Sawvel who generously returned the money to the foundation to help support the many community causes and events supported by the foundation.

Barnesville Rotary News: The club raised almost $2,500 with the annual meat raffle. The first prize winner was member Richard Riesbeck who donated his winnings back to the club to cover Christmas activities expenses and annual scholarships. The second prize winner was Amy Keiser, also a member of the group.
Club members enjoyed the Christmas holiday with the annual Friend-X gift exchange on December 17. The club did not meet the week of Christmas and New Years.
Barnesville Rotary recently installed two new members. They are:
- Jody Haught, executive secretary at the Walton Retirement Home
- Matt Hernick, vice president and financial advisor at Hazlett, Burt & Watson’s Barnesville office
Booster’s Bingo
Barnesville Boosters Club Bingo. Regular weekly bingo games take place at the Barnesville Elks Lodge each Wednesday evening. Doors open at 4:00, games begin at 6:00.
