Somerton Event Benefits LifeWise Program

The music and square dance at the Somerton Community Church’s social hall on January 18 netted $608 for the Barnesville LifeWise program director Liza Spence . Rev. Dale Warrick of Community is shown handing over the donation to program director.
In a fundraising letter sent to many businesses and organizations recently, Spence provide details of the current status of the program. LifeWise Barnesville leases two facilities as well as two vans. The program has five drivers, five teachers and 27 classroom volunteers.
There are 357 students grades 1-8 currently enrolled in the program while serving 65 % of studnes in grades 1-4.
