Assistant Water Clerk – The Village of Barnesville will be accepting applications for a part time Assistant Water Clerk. This position will be approximately 21 to 30 hours per week Monday through Friday. The successful candidate must be capable of being called in for duty anytime needed from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Candidates must have good clerical and excellent customer service skills.

Applications may be obtained at the Barnesville Water Department, 126 East Church Street, Barnesville, Ohio and will be accepted until this position is filled. The Village of Barnesville is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace.

Belmont-Harrison Joint Vocational School Board Meeting – April 28

The BOE will conduct its regular April meeting at 7:00 at the career center, 68090 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, Thursday, April 28. The meeting will be livestreamed via the school’s Facebook page or online.

Village of Batesville News and Notices

Batesville Seeks Council Member. A long time Village of Batesville council member has resigned.  Village residents interested in serving on the council in this open seat, are asked to attend the next council meeting on Wednesday May 21st at 6:30pm at the red building at the village park.

Batesville Community Yard Sale Day is Saturday, May 3. Surrounding communities are also taking part in the sale. Hours are 8-12.   

Batesville Community Clean Up Day is set for Monday, May 5. Noble Local Schools students will be donating community service hours that day to help the village.

Dumpster Day. Residents of Batesville and Beaver Township may drop off items at Batesville Park on Saturday, May 10.    

Flag Donations.  The Village is accepting donations for the flags hanging throughout the village. Officials note “teg lags and poles are still in good condition to put up this year”.  The cost of sponsorship is $60 per flag.
