Quilt Show Entries Sought

QUAKER CITY – One of the many attractions during the 2025 Ohio Hills Folk Festival in Quaker City, Ohio, will be a quilt show hosted by Who Cooks For You Quilt Guild.
Quilts will be on display at the Central Christian Church on Broadway Street July 10-12. Entries will be accepted at the church on Wednesday, July 9, from 1-6pm.
Participants are limited to 6 entries. Quilts will be judged in the following classes:
1. Appliqué quilt-hand or machine quilted
2. Pieced patchwork quilt- hand quilted
3. Pieced patchwork quilt-custom machine quilted
4. Pieced patchwork quilt-edge to edge machine quilted
5. Mixed media- full size and pieced Appliqué or embroidery on the same quilt
6. Mixed media- wall hanging pieced, Appliqué or embroidery on same quilt
7. Antique quilts
8. Small quilted items – pillows, table runners, placemats, purses, etc
9. Baby quilts
10. Miscellaneous quilts- photo, signature, T-shirt
11. Floss embroidery or cross stitch
12. Paneled wall hanging or full-size quilt- quilted from preprinted fabric or panels
Judges will award ribbons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each class. Rosettes will be awarded to Best of Show, Best use of color, Special Recognition, Best Design, and Festival Choice.
Hand quilted and machine quilted items will be accepted. Judges will also award rosettes for the Best Old Hand quilting, Best New Hand quilting and Best Machine quilting. Each item may be entered in one class only. Quilts must be clean. Area quilters are encouraged to enter and display their talents.
