Genealogy Meetings Include Picnic and Museum Trip

The Belmont County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society has announced meeting information related to the club’s July, August and September gatherings.
The July meeting will take place on Sunday, July 13 at 3 p.m. in the Genealogy Room, at Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library, 308 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
The Society’s annual picnic meeting will take place, Sunday August 10 at Stillwater Quaker Meeting House, 61830 Sandy Ridge Rd., Barnesville. Those attending should bring a covered dish to share. The meal is at 3 p.m. followed by a social hour at 3:30 p.m.

Providing the program at the August meeting will be local and Quaker historian Marie Bundy who is currently writing a book about the small towns within a 15-mile radius of Barnesville. The book is titled “Going, Going, Gone”.
The September meeting will take place on Sunday, September 14 will be at the Tri-State Military Veterans Museum located at 101 Barrister Street, Belmont. The meeting gets underway at 2 p.m.
