Carol Blanche (Hagan) Burchette

Carol B. Burchette, 89, of Bethesda, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 8, 1936, in Somerton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ralph D. and Flora P. (Wheeler) Hagan.

Carol was a graduate of Beallsville High School, class of 1953, and a graduate of the Ruth Brant School of Nursing in Martins Ferry. She was a lifelong member of the Bethesda Methodist Church. Carol was a Registered Nurse giving 30 years of service at Union Local Schools. She loved BINGO, traveling to Myrtle Beach, and having breakfast with friends at McDonalds. Carol’s biggest and best accomplishments were her children and beloved grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Burchette, and son, Darrell Lucas; siblings, Don, and Darrell Hagan.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Kevin (Marcia) Lucas, Mark (Sherry) Lucas, and Darin Lucas, husband, James M. “Jim” McGuire,  grandchildren; Jason (Carrie) Lucas, Bethany (Nate) Cooley, Jessica (Steve) Haythorn, Sonya and Tiffany Lucas, Steven (Megan) Lucas, Morgan Lucas, Michael (Cara) Norris, Josh (Allison) Lucas, Lindsey (Joe) Faini, Jared Gossett and many great-grandchildren complete the family. 

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 11 till time of service at 1pm, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda, OH 43719. Funeral Service will be at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Detling of the Bethesda Methodist Church. Burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
