Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs covering various dates from July 31 through August 6 are reported below.

July 31, 2025

9:19 pm — South 26th Rd, Bethesda. The caller’s nephew told him that someone had broken into his house, and he was approximately 20 minutes away. The back door of the residence was found open, and the homeowner was on the scene at 9:49 pm.

August 1, 2025

9:01 pm — Main St, Jacobsburg. Domestic Trouble.

11:04 pm — Pilot, Belmont. Dispatch received a call that a crash had occurred, and the striking vehicle had already left Pilot. The deputy responded and obtained information for a crash report. He searched the area but did not locate the vehicle. The struck vehicle’s driver had a camera and would forward video/photos to the deputy asap.

August 2, 2025

1:28 pm — Reddington Hill Rd, Holloway. The caller stated that people keep parking on his land even though he has told them to leave. He stated that they tore the paper he had and tried to run him over with their car. The responding deputy spoke with the caller, and he will seek a Criminal Protective Order. The deputy went to speak with the other party, but they were not home.

2:54 pm — Reddington Hill Rd, Holloway. The caller reported that a man struck a camper on his property. The deputy observed that the camper had a broken window on the left rear and that it appeared to be pushed forward. Also, a paint chip was on the rear bumper of the camper that matched the color of the vehicle parked behind it. That car’s owner denied causing the damage. There were no witnesses. The deputy took photos and advised the parties that it is a civil matter at this time.

August 3, 2025

12:19 am — Hendrysburg-Freeport Rd, Barnesville. Multiple people were fighting with no weapons involved. All involved parties left.

3:47 pm — Main St, Morristown. The deputy issued a verbal warning for a stop sign violation.

9:59 pm — 2nd St, Lafferty. The caller reported that his father and mother had been arguing and believed that it got physical. When deputies arrived, the neighbor advised that the mother and children had left after the argument. After the mom and son were located by the deputies, they both stated that the argument was only verbal and neither party wanted to pursue charges.

August 4, 2025

8:14 am — National Road, Belmont. A deputy made a wellness check on the caller’s husband. He was fine.

7:09 pm — Pilot, Morristown. The caller stated that he received an alarm stating that the rear doors of a trailer were opened before it arrived at its destination. A deputy responded. He took photos and informed the caller via phone that the seal was still intact.

8:00 pm — Belmont Centerville Rd, Belmont. The caller reported an unknown number sending lewd photos. The deputy met with the caller and took a statement regarding the complaint.

August 6, 2025

5:29 pm — Abby’s Crossing, Bethesda. A deputy responded to a call about a child playing near a road. When he arrived, the deputy noticed three boys in the complex area. Two older boys on bikes and one younger boy started running toward the buildings. The deputy spoke to the father and the 6-year-old about the complaint, and the father agreed to take care of it.
