Gallagher Achieves Rare Golf “Albatross”
BHS linkster Brady Gallagher achieved one of the rarest fetes in golf Friday at the Eaglesticks Golf Club in Zanesville during the Circle K Invitational.
He got an “albatross” on the Hole Three. He holed out of a second shot on the Par 5 hole.
In golf, “albatross” is a term for scoring 3-under par on an individual hole.
Albatross is another word used internationally for the American term double eagle – the two terms are identical in meaning.
On Saturday, Barnesville Area News will recap the Shamrock Golf Team’s week on the links.
