Barnesville Rotary Club Program Update

Recent weekly meeting programs at the Barnesville Rotary Club include the following:

June 24: President Mary Sidwell provided an update on plans for the club’s next project – a Peace Pole – that will be dedicated on August 26.

July 8: Travis Clark, manager of the “Ferrum Fit” gym at 130 East South Street, provided information on the gym and its many programs and offerings. Jill Hissom was program sponsor.

July 15: Kayla Dixon, licensed independent social worker who does school- based therapy for the East Central Educational Service Center, shared information about her work and program. Kristen Carnes was program sponsor.  

July 22: Rich Wells, director of Barnesville Memorial Park, provided an update on projects in the park. This club meeting was held at the Rotary Shelter House in the park.  Bill Steedle was program sponsor

July 29: Rose Grear talked about the Barnesville State Theater Company that hosted the “Movie Magic on Main and Golf Cart Cruise In” the previous weekend. The group is also raising matching funds for a $100,000, 100 Days of Summer capital campaign. Brenda Brown was program sponsor.   

The Barnesville Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at noon at the New Life Center of the First Christian Church.
