ODNR Hunter Education Class

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Belmont-Monroe FOP Lodge #6, is sponsoring an upcoming ODNR Hunter Education Class on September 13.

The course will be held at the FOP Lodge on Gun Club Road in Uniontown north of St. Clairsville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This one-day class is designed especially for youth and first-time hunters to introduce them to the sport of hunting and help them meet state requirements for obtaining an Ohio Hunting License.

Even individuals who have previously held an Ohio Apprentice License must complete this course to receive a full license.

Registration is required, and space is limited.

Students may begin signing up 30 days prior to the class through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) website.

Early registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a spot.

The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of this educational opportunity for developing safe, responsible hunters and fostering a lifelong respect for wildlife and conservation.
