Shekinah Christian Fellowship Hosts Kenyan Preacher

Shekinah Christian Fellowship, located at 145 W Main Street, welcomes Bonface Odhiambo, “a preacher of grace and truth from Kenya,” for a return visit to Barnesville this coming Sunday morning.

10 AM – Worship
10:45AM – Adult/Teen lesson with Bonface

(children’s church will be held as normal)

All are welcome.

Kennonsburg Church Revival

The Kennonsburg Church will hold a Revival at the church located at 57599 Kennonsburg Road, Salesville, at 5:30 p.m. each evening, October 19-25.

Speakers for the revival are Dr. Jeff Kephart on Sunday; Heath Dawson, Monday and Tuesday, Marvin Dalton, Wednesday-Friday, and Saturday’s service is a Gen Z Focused Night featuring Motruth.

The Revival, a family event, features music, prayer, baptism, refreshments, childcare on Sun.-Fri., and a love offering.

Salesville UMC Members Experience Homelessness, Pack Rice Meals

Several members of the Salesville United Methodist Church experienced what it is like to be homeless and sleep outside in a box recently.

“We had the opportunity to serve our community and bring awareness to homelessness and those in transitional housing by staying the night in a box. It was a very humbling experience”

The Samaritan Center of Guernsey County staged the event that took place on the lawn of the Guernsey County Courthouse Square.    

Salesville church members also packed rice meals for the Koinonia Team Ministry and Midwest Missions. All told, 2,400 rice meals were prepared which will feed about 15,000 people.

November Gospel Meeting Planned

The East Main Street Church of Christ will hold a Gospel Meeting November 2-6 with Wes McAdams, preaching minister of the Church of Christ on McDermont Road, Plano, TX.

Sundy will kick off the program on Friends and Family Day. Lessons will focus on “Raising Children in an Ungodly World”.     

 St. Mary’s, Assumption parishes Fish Fry

Members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Temperanceville, and the Assumption Parrish in Barnesville will gather in the Temperanceville social hall at 5 p.m., October 26 for a fish fry. Fish and beverages will be provided. Members are asked to contribute a side dish, appetizer or dessert.

Following the meal, members will enjoy Bingo games.
