The Barnesville Chamber sponsored a downtown Easter Parade in 1988. Shown is Candace Fleagane, downtown business owner, who organized the parade, and special guest, the Easter Bunny. Note Fleagane’s elaborate, decorative Easter bonnet.
Update – Fleagane added the following details for the photo: “I was happy that I was able to organize the Easter parade, and we had a contest for the best Easter bonnet, and the best Easter basket. We also had an egg hunt for all the children down at the elementary school at the end of the parade. My Easter bunny was none other than Adrian Meyers, one of my very talented dance students. We did this several years.”
