Community Foundation Elects
The Barnesville Community Foundation’s Annual Meeting that took place October 13 included the election of officers and trustees for the coming year.
2025-26 officers elected are Sam Lucas, president; Joel Braido, vice president; Brenda Brown, treasurer, and Kelli Wehr, secretary.
Trustees elected to serve a three year term expiring in 2028 were Polly Sawvel and Richard Marmie while retiring president Paula Grear will fill the unexpired term of Kelli Loudin that ends in 2027.
Trustees continuing in their terms are Rita Hall, Dave Ralston, and Jim Grear.
Meetings for the coming year will take place on January 19, March 16, May 18, July 20 and October 19.
The Trustees and Finance Committee set a grants budget for the new program year at $3,000.
Nonprofit organizations that operate under the umbrella of the Barnesville Community Foundation as fiscal agent are the Brad Detling Memorial Fund, Barnesville Depot Committee, Friends of the Park, Goaliners Club, The Haven, Home Run Club, Mothers Club, Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Watt Center.
