Mary Jane (Winland) Stevens

Mary Jane (Winland) Stevens, 66, of Lore City, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Mary was born on December 13, 1958, in Cambridge, a daughter of Ardith (Roe) Winland, and the late Paul H. Winland.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul H. Winland Jr., and a grandson, Jeremiah Foster.

Mary worked for many years in food service, having last worked at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.

Mary was a 1978 graduate of Buckeye Trail High School.  She was a member of the Cambridge Church of Christ.  Mary was an avid gardener and loved tending her flowers.  She was an Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan.  Above all, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Ardith (Roe) Winland of Salesville; a daughter, Tonya (& Seth Harper) Foster of Kimbolton; her siblings, Edwin Winland of Salesville, Bonnie (& Larry) Boggs of Concord, NC, Beth Ann Maytas of Salesville, John (& Carol) Winland of Salesville, and Kevin (& Dawn) Winland of Byesville; four grandchildren, Jay T Foster, Claire Foster, Emmett Harper, and Eliza Harper; many nieces, nephews and good friends.  

Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Quaker City has been entrusted with arrangements.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 30, from 11am to 1pm, at Thorn-Funeral Home in Quaker City, where funeral services will be held at 1pm, with Evangelist Phil Grear officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City.
