Bethesda Council Set
In addition to Barnesville, there were a number of write-in votes for Bethesda Village Council. In the end, neither of the write-in hopefuls were successful. A total of 112 valid write-in votes were counted by the Belmont County Board of Elections.
The unofficial vote tally finds Shirly J. Lucas, Carol Ann Merritt, Ruth A. Saffel and Jay Van Horn as the apparent victors.
Next Wednesday, the Board of Elections will meet and certify election results.
