Becky Wehr Celebrated as a SilverSneakers® Member of the Year Finalist

BARNESVILLE – Local resident Becky Wehr, 76, is nationally recognized as a 2025 SilverSneakers Member of the Year Finalist. Wehr will be presented an award for her dedication to fitness, strength of spirit and determination and, in doing so, inspiring others to lead active, healthy lives.

The SilverSneakers Member of the Year Awards, now in their twenty-first year, recognize members across the country who motivate others through their commitment to active, healthy living.

From more than 800 nominations nationwide, Wehr was named a finalist for her incredible resilience, infectious positive attitude, and profound commitment to community leadership. For Wehr, exercise is much more than a routine—it’s a celebration of perseverance that fuels her active life. She channels this energy into vital roles, serving as a dedicated leader in her local Kiwanis Club, contributing significantly to The Belmont County Museum, and remaining active with the town newspaper. Becky’s unstoppable spirit and selfless dedication make her an inspiring and deserving finalist.

Becky will be honored by her fellow SilverSneakers members and SilverSneakers representatives Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the Ferrum Fit gym located at 130 E South St, Barnesville.
