Larry W. Prokes

Larrry W. Prokes 74, of Colerain passed away Thursday November 20. 2025, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 12, 1951, in Martins Ferry a son of the late Altgeld “Augie” and Lucille (Osteoski) Prokes.

He was a retired employee of Lash Paving in Colerain, a member of Colerain Fire and Rescue Squad, and a member of the National paramedic and also a paramedic instructor for many years. Larry was an avid hunter, and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers Robert and Hal Prokes.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 31 years Tina (Sneigle) Prokes, a daughter Heather (Anthony) Borkoski of Belmont, his two grandchildren Tristan, and Ava Borkoski, his furry children Abby, Roxy, Sheeba, and Missy, also his best friends Frannie Schnegg , and the late Terry Mayberry.

According to Larry’s wishes there will be no public visitation. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at Clendening Lake Marina at a time to be announced. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Colerain Fire Department PO Box 3 Colerain, Ohio 43916Larrry W.
