Jeffery D. Pickenpaugh

Jeffery D. Pickenpaugh, 76, of Tacoma, Ohio, died November 27, 2025, in Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born January 13, 1949, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Douglas Giffen Pickenpaugh and Betty June Brown Pickenpaugh.

Jeff retired after 34 years with the United Mine Workers of America having worked at McElroy Quarto #4 Mine and 10 years at Ormet Reduction Plant. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Jeff was a member, Deacon and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Barnesville. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas E. Pickenpaugh and a sister, Nancy Lee Clark.

Jeff is survived by his five children, Becky Kay (Bill) Bolon, Todd Pickenpaugh (Antoinette) Jeffery, Kelly William (Stacy) Pickenpaugh, Casey Lynn Pickenpaugh, and Lynsey Schumacher; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Hurwitz; a brother, Richard (Sherry) Pickenpaugh; and 6 grandsons.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m., at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bob Willits officiating.
