David Keith Fitzpatrick
David K. “Fitzy” Fitzpatrick, 82, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at WVU Barnesville Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1943 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Everette and Florence (Robb) Fitzpatrick.
Dave was a 1961 graduate of Barnesville High School. Following graduation he was enlisted into the U.S. Navy. He worked as a salesman, where he became top salesman, and later became District Manager for Central Petroleum since 1992, his customers all became close friends. He was also owner of Fitzpatrick Painting Inc. Dave was always involved in his community, active with umpiring baseball, former president of the park board, ran the clock for basketball and football, helped with the Beast of the East for many years, was Citizen of the Year, a member of the Bethesda American Legion, and Grand Marshall of the Veteran’s Day parade in Bethesda in 2025. Dave was a member of the Sandy Ridge Church of Christ. Dave lived for his family, he loved getting to spend every minute he could with them.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ron Wharton.
Dave is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlene Fitzpatrick; children, April (Greg) Anderson, Candace (Kevin) Haggerty, Troy (Melissa) Fitzpatrick; grandchildren, Jeremy (Crissy) Anderson, Jarrod (Natalie) Anderson, Justin (Bree) Cox, Aaron (Kaylin) Cox, Matthew Haggerty, Jessica (Jeffrey) Ackerman, Mariya (Bobby) Bennett, Tyler Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren, Klase, Peyson, Sadie Jo, Rose, Jameson, Abel, Axel, Novaleigh, Owen, Avery, Evelyn, Ryker, and Harper; sister, Sherrie Wharton; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 4-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The Funeral Service will be Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11:00am with Corey Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sandy Ridge Church of Christ.
