Lois Ruth (Poulson) Kemp

Lois Ruth Kemp, 90, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away at Emerald Pointe Health & Rehabilitation on January 3, 2026.  She was born in Wayne Township near Beallsville, Ohio on  September 25, 1935 to the late Harry and Eva (Perkins) Poulson.

Lois was Protestant by faith.  She graduated from Beallsville High School in 1953.  She retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of working.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America where she served as President and Treasurer.  She was also a member of the Bethesda American Legion Auxiliary where she served as Treasurer.  She loved feeding the birds and spending time with her husband, her dogs, and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kemp; siblings, Florence Burgess, David Poulson, and recently, Naomi Marmie.

Left with happy memories are several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719 from 10am to the time of service at 2pm with Pastor Michelle Lucarelli officiating.  Burial will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
