Press Release

WHEELING – The regional transportation planning agency, Belomar, is developing a Destination Zero Safety Action Plan for Belmont, Ohio, Marshall, and Wetzel counties.

The purpose of the plan is “to make our streets safer for everyone, we need to hear from the people who use them, “ according to an agency post.

Needed are citizens thoughts on:

*Safety: Do you feel safe walking, biking, or traveling in our region?

*Behavior: How are people acting on our roads?

*Fairness: Are safety improvements being made fairly across all neighborhoods?

*Education: Are there enough resources available to inform the public about making safe choices?

*Map your concerns: The  survey lets you pinpoint specific locations on a map to show us exactly where you feel unsafe.

“Zero fatalities and serious injuries is a big goal, but it is attainable when we work together. Your feedback will help us determine the direction needed to make real changes in our community”.

An online survey is  accessible at: https://arcg.is/0Gnqi1. It can be completed in less than five minutes.
