Nick Dobrich

Nick Dobrich, 100, passed away on Jan. 22, 2026, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV. He was born June 30, 1925, in West Elizabeth, PA to George and Anna (Yurko) Dobrich.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a pre-law major at Pittsburgh University in September 1951. He worked in sales for Fleetwood Homes in Galion, OH and Horizon Homes in Portland, IN, then was owner and operator of Community Homes in Bethesda, OH. He was later employed with Muxie Distributing Co. in Bellaire, OH. He was a member of St. Mary’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton, PA.

Nick enjoyed travels with his wife, reading, fishing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, working in the yard and relaxing on his back porch overlooking Bethesda Reservoir.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Marlene; son Kevin Brown; 2 sons-in-law, Rick Fowkes and Chuck Gallagher; 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Surviving are 2 sons, Eric (Pattie) Dobrich and Steven (Shirlena) Dobrich; 4 daughters, Kathy Fowkes, Jeannette Dobrich, Valerie Dobrich and Karen Gallagher (Bill Provencher); 8 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jack) Sall, Ben Dobrich, Jordan (Nikki) Dobrich, Dustin (Mallory) Fowkes, Dylan (Katie) Fowkes, Jacob (Emily) Gallagher, Jarrod Gallagher and Jillian Gallagher; and 11 great-grandchildren: Cheyenne, Madeline, Charlie, Leah, Connor, Harriet, Julia, Keaton, Elliot, Genevieve and Emarie.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Wilson Funeral Home Bethesda Chapel, 322 N Main St, Bethesda OH 43719. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm.  Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery in Quaker City. Memorial contributions may be made to Liza’s Place, 308 Mount St Joseph Rd, Wheeling WV 26003, with special thanks to Sarah, Donna, Amanda, Brenda and Haley, who provided such loving care and support.
