Drive Thru or Drive In
Barnesville Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to The Pit Stop Drive Thru and Carryout at 777 East Main Street at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday after a vehicle in line for the carryout window went through the concrete block wall.
According to Barnesville Police Chief Rocky Sirianni, the driver, a woman, mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the break propelling the vehicle forward through the front concrete block wall.
No injuries were reported at the time. However, social media posts by the business Wednesday night and Thursday morning revealed the business was essentially closed until a structural engineer could determine the condition of the structure to ensure the safety of the employees.
“We are allowed to have pit stop open for a little bit today WALK IN ONLY there is no drive thru we will be open only from 6-8 am we are not allowed to get anything in the back room….. I posted previously we will keep everyone updated on when we can fully open pit stop back up.”
