Regina Ann Reichley
Regina Ann Reichley (Jean Ann) age 88 of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Bickford Memory Care in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 20, 1937 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of Forrest and Regina Pettit.
Regina graduated from St. John’s Bellaire, in 1955 and married her high school sweetheart, Dick, in 1958. After many years raising her three children full time, she started a long career in the mid 1970’s at St. Clairsville Schools. First with the middle school office, then moving to the Superintendent’s office, and lastly to the High School as an assistant to the principal where she remained until retirement in the late 1990’s.
Regina was extremely dedicated to her family and friends, never forgetting to check in with a close friend or loved one for news that needed shared or just to listen. She enjoyed playing bridge, cheering OSU and Steelers football, and adored all of her pet cats throughout her life. Like all working Mom’s, she juggled kids’ activities including Brownie leader and Red Devil band parent. She and Dick traveled far and wide through the years on group tours, cruises, or simple trips to Amish country to see the fall leaves. Dick and Regina were longtime parishioners of St. Mary’s in St. Clairsville.
She is preceded in death by her parents Regina and Fodie Pettit of Martins Ferry, and her husband of 66 years, Dick Reichley. Also, proceeded in death by her very close sisters Joan McCaffery and Janet Poluga.
She is survived by daughter Susan Poole, sons Richard (Lilah) Reichley, and Robert Reichley. Brother Dale (Anna) Pettit. Grandchildren Diane and Michael Vasher, Russell and Libby Reichley.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 25th from 5-7pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass on Thursday, February 26th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville at 10am. Burial at Union Cemetery St. Clairsville after mass, followed by a funeral luncheon for friends and family at St. Mary’s.
